Dr. Kevin J. Foster
Dr Kevin Foster CPEng is the Chairman of ASIS International WA Chapter and Chairman of Engineers Australia’s Risk Engineering Society WA Chapter. Kevin is a voting member of Standards Australia Committee MB-025 –Security and Resilience. He was the joint drafting leader for Standards Australia HB188 and is currently a member of the drafting committee for a proposed ISO Standard on Energy Resilience. Kevin is an electronics engineer, risk analyst and physical security specialist with 46 years of experience as a designer, consultant and adviser. He is a former Technical Director of Risk and Security with a major engineering consultancy, a former Adjunct Associate Professor and for the past 9 years has been an independent researcher, adviser and volunteer. Dr Foster is currently pursuing an interest in the development of resilience engineering principles.
Kerran is a professional engineer who commenced his career in 1964. Since 1976, Kerran has practised in the field of professional security consulting. Kerran was an Ass Prof. and Adjunct Ass Prof. in Security science at ECU. He has specialised in high-security facilities including super tall and mega all buildings, aviation, and custodial, the protection of gold, diamonds and banknote processing and storage and facility anti-terrorism design.
Andrew has 25+ years’ security industry experience ranging from sales to operations and is the Treasurer of ASIS WA since 2018. He has held a security consulting licence since 1993; is the General Manager for Securitas Electronic Security in WA; is an Associate Fellow of AIM and; a Member of Chartered International Institute of Security & Crisis Management.
Glenn has worked within the law enforcement, risk management, investigations and security industries for the past 35 years. His experience has been gained throughout the East Coast and now Western Australia. He is experienced in security operations, risk assessments, project management and consultancy and this has been gained throughout critical infrastructure, rail, ports, utilities, transport, warehousing and mail facilities.
ASIS Foundation Board of Trustees
Dr. Dave Brooks is the Associate Professor in Security Science at Edith Cowan University. He is also a Trustee on the ASIS Foundation Board, chair of the Foundation Research Committee and on the Security Journal Editorial Committee. Dave commenced his career in military Air Defence, moving into the Electronic Security sector and later, Security Consultancy. He has a broad industrial security experience within Defence, Critical Infrastructure, Resources and Corrections. Research interests include Security Science education, and security system design and evaluation. Dave has published widely, with over 80 books, chapters, academic journals and industry guides. Some of his more seminal works include Security Science: The Theory and Practice of Security, and the Intrusion Detection Systems in Physical Security chapter in the recent 2022 3rd edition of The Handbook of Security.
