We are excited to announce this years conference will be at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Hotel in the heart of Sydney CBD. This half day event will be jam packed with presentations, networking, support presentations, lots of food, and a great experience to grow your knowledge across various areas in the industry. To cap off the event we will close with a cocktail reception for further networking and reflecting on the days experience.

Hear from 3 different speakers across a broad variety of topics. The below is an outline of the schedule of the event.
Tickets are strictly limited and are on a first come first serve basis. More details on guest speakers will be published shortly.

Marie Patane, Executive Director Enterprise Security, Sydney Metro
Presenting on “Delivering integrated security for critical infrastructure projects”.
Marie Patane is currently Executive Director Enterprise Security for Sydney Metro Australia’s largest public transport project. She is a recognised leader in the areas of Security, Business Continuity, Risk analysis and Crisis Management I n 2019 she received the Business Continuity Institute ’s Continuity and Resilience Professional (Private Sector) Award and in 2021 was the AWSN winner of Australia’s Most Outstanding Women in Protective Security. 202 2 saw her team awarded the Outstanding Security Team for the Australian Outstanding Security Performance Awards (and more recently Marie was awarded Most Outstanding in House Security Manager/Director for the 2023 Australian Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs). 

Matthew Oyston, Principal Security Consultant, Security Consultant Group
Presenting on “Critical infrastructure resilience”
Matthew is a Principal Security Consultant and leads SCG’s Transport market sector. He has over 20 years’ experience in the security industry and worked throughout Asia Pacific, Middle East and the UK. As a security risk and design expert, Matthew has advised public and private clients in all facets of the security risk and design processes including security risk assessments, security master plans, technical system designs, tender assessments, and construction management.

Don Williams CPP ASecM, Managing Director, Layer 3 Services
Presenting on “Observations on 45 years of security – what has changed and what hasn’t”.
Don Williams CPP ASecM has been involved in security since the late ‘70s.  He has been involved with, observed and commented upon security over this time.  He conducted his first security risk assessment in 1987 as part of the Associate Diploma in Management (Security).  He has been a member of ASIS International for over 25 years and gained his CPP in 2002.  He has over 150 published items related to security, emergency management and related topics.  Don will offer his observations and invite discussion on what, if anything, has changed.
