Kimber Stowe, Head of Enterprise – APAC, Dataminr
Kimber began her career in network security and has spent 20 odd years since, front row, witnessing the evolution of the internet and its human impact. She has since played a lead role in harnessing the enormous opportunity that the explosion in data provides, for blue chips such as Adobe, IBM and startups such as Hitwise and Mobilewalla. She is also a qualified Wildlife Protection Ranger, but only in Africa. She currently works for Dataminr, a company whose mission is “to make the world a safer place” by harnessing the power of publicity available data and AI to help mitigate risk and buy organisations time in a crisis. Her greatest passions are ethical use of technology and animal welfare.
